When The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) revealed the nominations for the British Academy Games Awards of 2015, there were a couple games that stood out. Alien: Isolation had six nominations, Far Cry 4 had five (alongside Monument Valley), and Destiny, along with a few others, was up for four awards.
How did those nominated games fair when it came to the actual event? Well, they didn't walk away with multiple awards each.
Alien: Isolation took home one award for Best Audio — well deserved considering the atmosphere was one of the best aspects of this game. Far Cry 4 won an award for its music and Monument Valley won the best Mobile & Handheld game.
Destiny, despite all of the complaints, took home the award for Best Game.
Interestingly enough, the former Content Director at Ubisoft – Yoan Fanise – won an award for Best Original Property with Valiant Hearts. That's the game that made him want to remove himself from Ubisoft in order to go back to that type of game development he loves.
