Child of Light launch trailer released

With Child of Light officially out worldwide today, it's time to celebrate with a launch trailer. Though I'm sure you've already read my review of the game, today's video highlights just what's so awesome about it — the rich narrative, the stunning visuals, and the entertaining gameplay.

For those who didn't read my review (shame on you), then here's a brief summary. Child of Light is a "re-imagining" of classic fairytales set in a picturesque background "inspired by the watercolor artworks of The Golden Age of Illustration." In the game, you play as Aurora, a young princess, who gets transported to the mystical world of Lemuria, and must fight to win back the sun, moon, and stars, all of which are being held captive by the Queen of the Night. As I wrote in my review, Child of Light perfectly blends platforming and turn-based combat with a rich storyling, beautifully hand-drawn graphics, and an amazing soundtrack.

Child of Light is available for $14.99 on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
