Civilization 5 can be played for free this weekend via Steam

The Civilization series has always been one of my favorite of all time. With that said, I love Civilization 5, ESPECIALLY because it has Empress Theodora in it (history nerdgasm). If you’ve never played the Civ games or haven’t tried Civilization 5 yet, you can do so for free this weekend starting tomorrow. Starting Thursday June 6th at 10am PDT on Steam, you can download Civ 5 for free and play until Sunday June 9th at 10 am PDT.

Preeeetty cool if you ask me. When things are free, there is no reason not to give it a whirl. On top of all this, remember the second expansion Brave New World is coming out July 9th. So if you’re just getting into Civ 5 – you are picking a damn good time to jump in.
