After launching 11 and a half years ago, Club Penguin has officially shut down. The browser-based MMO, released on October 24th, 2005, shut down with around 200 million users (as of 2013), only to be replaced by its mobile-only successor, Club Penguin Island.
Before the end finally came for Club Penguin users were doing speedruns to get banned as fast as possible. Of course, this meant flooding the chat with tons of profanities until you were auto-banned by the game's built-in filter.
So long Club Penguin, thanks for all the memories and all the fish.
