Collect and battle with all your favorite characters in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes

The mobile app stores are riddled with games that focus on collecting characters and then sending said characters out to battle. I get it, it's a successful formula. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hooked on games like Brave Frontier, Summoners War, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, and more. Now it's time for Star Wars to get in on the action.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes will allow you to collect various iconic characters from the Star Wars universe, and put them in a team to do battle. The game is relatively straight forward. You build a team of five characters, you can't mix light and dark side characters unless you're fighting in the arena, and you level them up using items as well as equip them with various gear. The game looks and sounds pretty great too.

It's also quite generous in the beginning. You'll get levels upon levels, which constantly give you more energy to play the game longer. Not to mention, the energy stacks, meaning even if you're awarded more energy than your maximum, it doesn't end up being wasted, which is a nice touch.

Of course, there are microtransactions that will attempt to rope you in, and you're free to ignore those if you want. I've reached level 21 without needing to resort to buying any.

The game is available on both Android and iOS devices.
