Conan O’Brien does ‘good work’ reviewing Resident Evil 6 during “Clueless Gamer” segment

Late night host Conan O'Brien's "Clueless Gamer" segment is gaining some traction among game developers and publishers. For those who haven't yet seen it, Conan — who has absolutely no clue about playing games — plays a game and offers his unbiased opinion.

For some reason, Capcom thought it'd be a great idea to have him play Resident Evil 6, their highly anticipated shooter that is set to release on October 2. There's a planned demo that will arrive on September 18, and Conan got first dibs at it.

"No one on the internet has seen this yet. The irony being I'm the first to play this yet I'm the least qualified. I don't know what I'm doing and I really don't care," Conan admits.

It's that attitude that makes the Resident Evil 6 "Clueless Gamer" bit one of the best ones we've seen to date. While we're used to seeing Conan poke fun at the games, he really goes all out with this one. From being unable to get past a folding chair to repeating the same animation, Conan does "good work" on his Resident Evil 6 review.

And, for the first time in his "Clueless Gamer" segment, Conan did offer some real critique on the game. Sort of…

"Great graphics. First time I've ever killed anything in a game; that was exciting. Not since pong have I dominated in a game like this," he concluded. "Backstory, way too complicated. Zombie genre should be simple: see zombie, kill zombie. I don't like them turning into pasta and then turning into shelfish — shrimp and lobster. It's confusing, and it made me hungry."

Conan's final score: a 35 on a scale that makes absolutely no sense. You can determine for yourself when Resident Evil 6 releases on October 2.
