That weird baby-themed teaser site that Atlus launched last week has come to term. Conception 2: Children of the Seven Stars is releasing in North America for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita in spring 2014.
Atlus and Spike Chunsoft partnered to localize the turn-based role-playing game, which is the first in the series to be released in English.
Its stand-alone story puts players in the role of a disciple in training, a human who bears the power of the star gods and can destroy the monsters that emerge from the Pandora Labyrinth. Since disciples only possess this ability until age 18, they have to combine their strength to create star children, which can fight in their place.
So yes, as a male protagonist, you'll be developing relationships with seven heroines to create stronger star children.
Battles involve hitting monsters at their weak spots, which are exposed when players attack from certain directions. Colored arrows help point out which angle is the best for maximum damage. In addition, the Chain Drive builds during combat and eventually climaxes, chaining down an enemy and providing a great opportunity for a massive strike — right in the baby-maker.
What, too much?
Conception 2 will cost $40 when it launches next year. The first Conception released last year for PSP exclusively in Japan. Conception 2 launched in Japan in August.
