Well folks, the rumors are true. Call of Duty: Ghosts will run at native 1080p on the PlayStation 4, while the Xbox One version will be upscaled from 720p. In light of the rumors and speculation, Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin took to Twitter to confirm the news.
"Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p," Rubin said. "And, we’re native 1080p on PS4."
The differences between the two versions are likely a result of the studio wanting to optimize each console to hit 60 frames per second. It seems the Xbox One was incapable of hitting 60FPS while running at native 1080p, but Rubin assured Xbox One owners that the game still "looks great on both [consoles]."
Does the Xbox One's inability to run Call of Duty: Ghosts at 1080p natively worry you?
