Correction: Destiny’s PlayStation beta will be available via pre-orders only

Correcting a mistake posted on the UK PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen has confirmed the upcoming Destiny Beta will only be available via pre-order.

It's been known for quite a while now that you'd have to pre-order Destiny to get into the beta next month, but a post on the UK PlayStation Blog today incorrectly stated that all PS Plus members would also be invited into the beta when it opens on July 17. The post has since been updated to remove that statement.

PlayStation owners will receive first access to Destiny's beta; however, it will eventually be open to anyone who pre-orders the game regardless of platform.
