The Star Wars movie sets are known for their notorious strict security and well-guarded secrets but that didn't stop 007 star Daniel Craig from infiltrating the set and gaining a role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The actor known for playing James Bond is currently doing the rounds for his new movie, Logan Lucky, and when he stopped by Stephen Colbert's show, he was asked about a cameo he had in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Craig joked that he slept with director J.J. Abrams to get an uncredited role as a stormtrooper who is tricked into releasing a Jedi prisoner named Rey.
"That Star Wars was shot at Pinewood where we do Bond, most of the crew on that was working on Bond which was straight afterward. Ben Dixon, who's second AD, is my liaison on set and he was working on Star Wars and I had meetings with him. I said 'How's it going?' and he said 'It's fantastic, it's wonderful, J.J.'s amazing, it's gonna be great.' and I said 'Can I be in it?'. He sort of went 'Are you serious?' and I said 'Yeah, I'm serious!'. He went away and spoke to J.J. and said 'We're shooting a stormtrooper scene Friday, do you want to do it?'"
You can view the clip of his brief appearance in the sci-fi film down below, if you listen closely you can tell it's his voice!
Daniel Craig also confirmed to Colbert that he will be returning to play James Bond one more time in 2019. The untitled 25th Bond flick is set to open in theaters on November 8th, 2019.
