Daylight won't be the only PlayStation 4 game in which a streaming audience can affect gameplay. As detailed yesterday in the official Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition reveal — and confirmed later by Sony President Shuhei Yoshida — those who tune in to view your livestream (should you choose to do so through the PS4) can influence the difficulty of the game.
Using the game's Broadcast+ mode, viewers — whether on the PS4 or a web browser — can vote between a positive and negative effect that occurs in your game. There are a total of 30 different voting effects, ranging from spawning zombie packs to giving the player ammo. Should your viewers be assholes, you can exact revenge on them by brutally slaughtering the zombie with their name in the game.
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition will be released through the PlayStation Store on March 4. It's priced at $14.99; however, it'll be free for PlayStation Plus members as part of the Instant Game Collection. You can check out all of the other PS4 specific features here.
