Dead Rising Remaster gets a performance comparison test to the original Xbox 360 version

It didn't use to be such a big deal, but console players are gradually becoming more informed on the subject of game performance, most notably for games that don't perform well at all (*cough*Assassin's Creed: Unity). The folks over at Digital Foundry are known for their emphasis on game performance, and they have delivered yet another test, this time with the remaster for the original Dead Rising.

The remaster released just yesterday, so if you held off on that pre-order (and it's always a good idea to do so), here's what you can expect from the Dead Rising Remaster performance.

  • 1080p resolution
  • 60 FPS target with slight dip to 57 FPS when player melee attacks an enemy
  • Slight screen tearing
  • Assets are exactly the same as the original game, just at a higher res

Dead Rising 4, the newest entry in the franchise, will be releasing this holiday season on December 6th, 2016 for Xbox One and PC. The game is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store (advice from above still holds) and returns to The Mall where it all began.
