Deadly Premonition for PS3 releases in late April

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut now has a release date for the spring.

Developer Access Games and publisher Rising Star are remastering the Xbox 360 detective/survival-horror original exclusively for PlayStation 3, as revealed last year. It's now launching on April 30 in North America, according to an announcement on Siliconera.

Preorders from participating retailers, like Amazon.com and GameStop, come with free downloadable content. Purchasing the game at retail also grants access to 30 free days of PlayStation Plus while the deal lasts.

The game has undergone a graphical overhaul and contains new features, such as fresh scenarios, reworked and mappable controls, and post-game DLC. The full scope of the extra content is unspecified at the moment but will include extra costumes and "usable items." The Director's Cut also contains 50 Trophies.

The game supports PlayStation Move and stereoscopic 3D.
