Yesterday, we learned what trailers will be shown ahead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And while we saw that the IMAX 3D version of the film would receive an exclusive trailer for the upcoming Marvel X-Men spinoff, we've since learned that 20th Century Fox actually has three different teasers planned, all suited for different audiences.
As listed on the Alberta Film Ratings classification website (via Movieweb), two of the three trailers will run 2:24. The difference, however, is rating. There's a PG-rated trailer that's likely more appropriate for the general audiences seeing The Force Awakens in theaters. But there also seems to be a more adult-oriented trailer more fitting and true to the film's official R-rating. This red band trailer will most likely make its debut on the internet. And although it's the same runtime as the green band trailer, it will likely contain the gore and foul language we all expect to see from the Merc with a Mouth.
And lastly, as we reported yesterday, a third trailer is planned, but will only be shown ahead of The Force Awakens in IMAX 3D. This exclusive trailer checks in at 0:27, and is also rated PG.
