Destiny 2 poster leaks with release date; Suggests beta details

There it is!

Earlier this month, Bungie revealed which parts of your player stats and Guardians will be moving to Destiny 2 and which ones won't. On top of this, it was confirmed (again) by Activision that Destiny 2 will be releasing in 2017.

**Update: Kotaku has confirmed the poster to legitimate and has even suggested that it will be releasing on PC too. Says announcement coming soon. **

An Italian website, LegaNetwork (via NeoGaf), has revealed our first look at what they claim to be a poster for Destiny 2 (above). The poster appears to be legitimate, as GameStop Italy leaked an image of a similar poster (below).

The two images feature the same trio and release date of September 8th. They also have PlayStation marketing on it, suggesting a partnership between Bungie and PlayStation will once again be in play. The GameStop picture does include one extra detail, a note about a beta. With the poster being cut off, there's only room for speculation, however, it is probably saying something about pre-ordering the game to get into the beta.

Destiny originally released on September 9th, 2014 and held an open beta a couple months before exclusively to PlayStation owners on July 17th. The beta went on to include Xbox platforms roughly a week later and totaled with over 4.6 million players participating in the event.

With the poster indicating a September 8th release and featuring a Playstation logo, it could suggest that we will be seeing a similar timeline for Destiny 2 – at least as far as betas go (and yes, that means PlayStation owners will get first dibs).
