Destiny players have logged over 99,523.5 years in the game

Hey, maybe you should take a breather?

The end of the year is fast approaching, it has been 109 days since Bungie launched their newest game since Halo, Destiny, and the numbers show that players kind of love the game (or are hopelessly addicted and hate the game, but can't quit).

When Destiny launched it was met with a couple connection issues here and there, but that hasn't stopped people from logging in the hours. As of Friday, December 19, Bungie tallied up the numbers and revealed just how busy you've been (collecting those blue gloves).

Over 12,869,066 players have picked up Destiny and played, bringing over 22,932,276 Guardians to life (how many Guardians do you guys have? Isn't one enough?!). In total players have spent over 872,404,449 hours playing Destiny…That's 36,350,185.375 days…that's 99,523.5 years. Which is about 67 hours per player over the last three months.

By Bungie's count that means over that amount of time you could have…

  • You have spent playing Destiny, the Curiosity Rover could have made the voyage to Mars more than one hundred thousand times*
  • If the Guardians populating Destiny occupied a single city, it would be as large as New York City and Los Angeles, combined
  • Atheon has been shattered 2.4 Million times
  • At least a dozen of those kills were without cheese
  • Crota has been Ended 769 times, and rapidly counting
  • But only once by a Fireteam of one (step it up, everyone else)
