Destiny: Rise of Iron is officially out now, and working just fine

Will you be coming back?

Destiny players have been looking forward to this day for quite some time. The latest expansion, Rise of Iron is finally upon us and with it comes an all-new Story Campaign Set in a large, snowy location known as The Plaguelands, a new Six-Player Raid, new Missions, new Quests, a new Strike, and new Gear.

The game officially went live at 5 AM EST, and after some initial launch issues, the game appears to be ready go. Rise of Iron proved to be so heavily anticipated that the expansion ended up shattering records for pre-orders.

Pete Parsons, CEO of Bungie said:

"The team was excited to expand upon the heroic tale from one of Destiny’s most renowned characters in Destiny: Rise of Iron. We can’t wait to see the memories and stories that will unfold as the community discovers what it means to become an Iron Lord."

Players can also expect a Light Level increase to 385 as well as a new mutated enemy faction of the Fallen with which to contend with.
