Earlier this week, Bungie trademarked for something titled 'Rise of Iron', an expansion pack that has been leaked the month prior. Now it seems like Destiny themselves might have accidentally leaked the official release date and name for their next expansion.
Spotted first on NeoGaf, the official Destiny website leaked out the picture below, clearly showing off the release date, September 20, and name of the expansion — Rise of Iron. In addition, Bungie tweeted out a little teaser video (above) for their stream tomorrow that will explain the future of Destiny, and within the trailer, we see the very same character that is plastered in the leaked photo (below).
It has been rumored for a while now that the next expansion for Destiny will take place in Fall while Bungie gears up for Destiny 2 which is set to launch in 2017. The stream is scheduled to go live tomorrow, so make sure to check back at GameZone to see what the future of Destiny actually holds.
