Destiny's next expansion, The Taken King, was announced this week at E3 2015, and to no one's surprise it will come with extra content exclusive to PlayStation. Detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the new content will come inthe form of an exclusive co-op Strike, a competitive multiplayer map, an Exotic weapon, and Legendary Gear Sets for each of the three classes.
While this content could eventually make its way to Xbox, here is what PlayStation owners can look forward to when Destiny: The Taken King launches this September:
Co-Op Strike: The Echo Chamber
"Join forces with your fellow guardians to hold off an onslaught of Vex, and sabotage their efforts to bridge time and undo the victories of the past."
Competitive Multiplayer Map: Sector 618
"Challenge your fellow Guardians in this Crucible map set within the ruins of an Earth colony reclaimed from the House of Wolves. Fans of Clash and Control modes will find plenty to love in this mid-sized arena: each side’s narrow chambers give way to an open center area, connected only by two exposed bridges and a handful of small platforms for the adventurous."
Exotic Weapon:
The Jade Rabbit
"Featuring a 13-shot magazine, advanced scope, and adorable rabbit decal, this is the Scout Rifle you bring to a sniper fight."
Legendary Gear Sets:
"Guardians over Level 20 should keep an eye out for brand new, complete armor sets (helmet, chest piece, arms, and legs) for each class."
Of course, in addition to all of this exclusive content, PlayStation owners will still get all of The Taken King's regular content: an all-new campaign centered on Oryx, new Guardian subclasses, and a healthy mix of PvE and PvP content — all detailed in the video above.
