Destiny Weekly Reset (8/4/15): New Strikes and Prison of Elders Arenas

Another week, another weekly reset in Destiny. New Strikes, a new rotation in the Prison of Elders Arena, and new stock from Variks and Brother Vance. Check out this week's rotation of activities below:

Prison of Elders Level 32: Urrox's Grudge

The Reef, Asteroid Belt: The Flame Prince Urrox vows to burn the Light until all that remains is Darkness and bone.

Round Enemy Objective Modifier(s)
1 Hive Trickle – Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.
2 Cabal Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
3 Cabal Exposure – Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish.
4 Hive Arc Burn – Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
5 Hive Solar Burn – Solar Damage from any source is greatly increased.

Prison of Elders Level 34: The Forever Eater

The Reef, Asteroid Belt: Qodron, a Vex chronovore, sees only one outcome: your demise. Prove it wrong.

1 Vex Catapult – Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased.
2 Vex Void Burn – Void Damage from any source is greatly increased.
3 Fallen Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
4 Vex Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
5 Vex Trickle – Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.

Prison of Elders Level 35: Skolas's Revenge

The Reef, Asteroid Belt: Skolas and his crew challenge the Guardians who captured him. Face him with a Fireteam of three. End him.

1 Hive Exposure – Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish.
      Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
2 Vex Grounded – Players take more damage while airborne.
      Airborne – Players deal more damage while in the air.
3 Cabal Catapult – Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased.
      Arc Burn – Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
4 Fallen Specialist – Special Weapon damage is favored.
      Juggler – No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
5 Fallen Trickle – Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.
      Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
6 Boss Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
      Lightswitch – Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.

Heroic Strikes: The Shadow Thief

Ocean of Storms, Moon: Board the Fallen Ketch above the Moon and defeat the notorious Taniks, the Scarred.

Modifiers

  • Heroic – Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive.
  • Specialist – Special Weapon damage is favored.

Nightfall: The Devils' Lair

Old Russia, Earth: The Darkness gathers around Sepiks Prime as it absorbs the essence of everything the Fallen can steal.

Modifiers

  • Epic – Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
  • Angry – Minions of the Darkness won't flinch, even after massive damage.
  • Lightswitch – Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.
  • Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
  • Nightfall – If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit.

On a related note, Bungie dropped the banhammer last week in an effort to bring "justice" to hundreds of the game's "most notorious cheaters." With The Taken King expansion right around the corner, Bungie is understandably looking to rid the game of cheaters.
