Detective Pikachu Movie Starts Filming in January 2018

Remember Detective Pikachu? It was vaguely announced quite a while ago but was later confirmed to be a live-action movie from Legendary Pictures. We've learned that filming for the movie will start in January 2018 in London. Goosebumps director Rob Letterman will take the wheel, with script writing from Nicole Perlman (Captain Marvel) and Alex Hirsch (Galaxy Falls).

Detective Pikachu will be a live-action film with obviously CG'ed Pikachu in the mix. It's a film adaption of the Japan-only spin-off title of the same name.

The film has a surprising amount of Hollywood power behind it, going from a funny tidbit to moderate excitement. Are you going to end up seeing Detective Pikachu?
