If you're looking for an HD remake of Diablo 2, we have some news for you! A site known as diablo2hd.com is…fake. It's fake. Blizzard confirmed it earlier today. Sorry Diablo fans.
The site launched on September 18 with the slogan "Evil Has Survived" and a countdown meter that seemed to be set to the start time for Blizzcon. It also appears to have been taken down already. There were job listings a year ago for an art director and mentions of another Diablo project roughly a year ago, but as noted above, this is unrelated.
Never fear, though, Diablo fans! Those listings in the past were real, even if this countdown was not. But whatever it is that Blizzard is working on, They're not ready to say.
But BlizzCon 2016 is slotted for the near-future dates of November 4-5. Online tickets are available at Blizzcon.com. With the timing of these openings, it would seem likely that some new Diablo news may be in the pipe.
