Dishonored 2 just came out today, and while many gamers are enjoying the game on Xbox One and PS4, reception from the PC crowd has been officially "Mixed" according to the game's Steam user rating. The major overarching reason for 54% positive rating is purely the performance of the game. Steam users are lining up the review sections with lists of their rig's specs, following it up with something along the lines of "my hardware isn't the issue, I should be able to run this."
And it's true, many of these users should. Bethesda has apparently taken notice of the feedback, and issued a statement on the Bethblog today, revealing that a performance patch for PC users is on its way. They said:
"We have been monitoring the PC forums and social channels and while we're excited to hear that many of you are enjoying the game, we are disheartened that some of you are experiencing PC performance issues on some systems. We are actively working to provide an update to address your concerns. The patch and its release notes will be available in the coming days."
