It wasn't long ago when a man died from a gaming binge in an Internet Café and no one cared. His body sat there for hours before anyone recognized he was dead. Even then, none of the gamers even cared when the paramedics and police came to remove the body.
Now we are looking at Dota being banned in a region of the Philippines. A district in the province of Cavite, Barangay Salawag, has banned Dota from Internet Cafés, but for entirely different reasons.
The reason of the ban comes from years of 'youths' being unable to check their rage after losing a match in Dota. While this isn't the first instance of the mob fights, you can check out one fight that occurred in an Internet Café below. There's plenty of fists, chair throwing and ceiling tiles falling down:
Initially, Dota's ban from Internet Cafés seemed illegitimate, but a news network in the Philippines verified the ban during their daily recap.
What would you do if your favorite game was a banned because players couldn't keep their act together?
