Award-winning, and famed composer Inon Zur is best known for his video game work, with titles such as Dragon Age, Fallout, Everquest, Baldur’s Gate II, and Syberia III under his belt. With so many titles in his portfolio, it’s not surprising that Zur has plenty of pieces that just didn’t make the final cut. Coming July 31st 2015 we’ll get a chance to hear some of those songs.
Zur is releasing an album with 18 tracks titled Age of Sirens. Some feature vocals from one of two very talented singers, Aeralie Brighton (Ori and the Blind Forest), and Aubrey Ashburn (Dragon Age/ Rift/ The Lord of the Rings: War in the North). The tone of the songs varies fairly dramatically, but this is due to the fact that they are inspired by so many different games. Some of these games include Fallout: New Vegas, Crysis 2, Avatar, and Everquest, among others. A preview of all the songs that will be on Age of Sirens is available on YouTube, so be sure to give it a listen!
The album itself will only be purchasable through iTunes, and will cost $10 total. The third track, "Alone," featuring Ashburn, is already available if you just can’t wait until next week to own some of it.
