PlayStation 4 exclusive Driveclub has gone gold, both Sony and Evolution Studios have announced. This means that the game is completely finished and ready to go into mass production. More importantly, it means no more delays for the highly anticipated racing game.
Game director Paul Rustchynsky also revealed that the game had gone gold, responding to a snide remark in a PS Blog post outlining plans for Driveclub's DLC. As we learned yesterday, Driveclub will get a fresh batch of content in the form of new cars, tracks, and tour events each month; some will be free, while some will be paid DLC. Either way though, there's content planned all the way through June 2015.
Driveclub is set to release exclusively for PS4 on October 7, 2014. Although there will be a full retail version, there's also a stripped down PS Plus Edition that will have one location (India), 11 tracks, 10 cars, and access to all game modes.
