When Driveclub releases for PS4 this October, it'll ship with five different locations, 55 tracks, 50 cars, and 50 tour events. That's just at launch, though. Taking to the PlayStation Blog, developer Evolution Studios outlined plans for DLC — both paid and free — all the way through June 2015.
Each month, Driveclub will get a batch of free content in the form of new cars, tracks, and tour events. While some of this will additional content will be paid DLC, each month will also see the release of free cars and tracks. As you can see by the attached image, Driveclub has quite the lineup of post-launch content.
While the first piece of free DLC will arrive at launch in October, paid DLC will begin shipping in November. This will allow you to buy packs of new cars and new campaign tour expansions. Although these can be purchased individually (totalling $74.84), there will be a Driveclub Season Pass available for $24.99, representing a 60% savings than if you were to purchase each pack separately.
Evolution Studios may have content planned through June 2015, but the studio also says that post-launch development "will be influenced by what you do in the game" and the feedback you share with them. Just yesterday, it was announced that the new Mercedes-AMG GT, which isn't hitting the market until 2015, will be drivable early in Driveclub as free DLC right after the game's launch.
"And of course, we're going to do our best to keep surprising you with our own creativity, too," added Evolution Studios' Jamie Brayshaw.
