Dwayne Johnson has officially been cast to portray the classic comic book hero of yester-year, Doc Savage.
Dwayne Johnson recently took to Facebook to announce his casting as the classic comic book hero known as Doc Savage in the upcoming big screen adaptation:
Doc Savage is not a particularly well-known comic persona, especially in the mainstream media, but his existence actually predates that of Superman himself and is a reverred icon. For those unfamiliar with the character, Clark "Doc" Savage, aka "The Man of Bronze", had no special powers, but was trained his entire life to master skills in combat, tactics, and science to eventually become one of the world's greatest adventure heroes, fighting evil threats to the world with his trusted team known as the "Fabulous Five".
No synopsis or release date has been announced yet, but Johnson seems to be taking a liking to comic book adaptations, not only involving himself in 'Savage', but also the upcoming 'Shazam', where he will be portraying Captain Marvel's evil counterpart, Black Adam.
