E3 2013: The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD due out in October

Nintendo announced today that Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD will release for Wii U in October of this year. The HD remake of GameCube classic will run at 1080p and use shaders to better refine textures and improve character expression. Nintendo has also added multiple features including a "speed up" button that will allow your boat to travel faster.

In other news, the Tingle Tuner — previously accessed by hooking up a Gameboy Advance to the GameCube — is handled with the GamePad. You'll be able to poast messages to Miiverse, which exist within the game world as notes in a bottle. These notes will wash ashore in other players' games.
