E3 2014 Watch: Sony trademarks ‘Kill Strain’ and ‘Entwined’ as possible PS4 games

We're still over a month away from June's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) but it's never too early to begin to speculate what sort of announcements the big three have planned. With the Xbox One and the PS4 (I guess we can include the Wii U) engaged in a heated console war, all eyes are looking towards each individual company's press conferences — and the actions they make beforehand could clue us in to the announcements they may have planned.

For Sony, their E3 could include the announcement of two new games: Kill Strain and Entwined. Last week, Sony filed its trademark applications for both products with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and though details are scarce, both are listed as "computer game software."

According to public website records, Sony Computer Entertainment America registered www.killstrain.com in March 2014. Entwined.com doesn't appear to be owned or operated by Sony.

At this point, we don't know what platforms these two games (assuming they're games) are headed to. Though we've reached out to Sony for comment, I doubt we'll hear anything until E3. Sony's press briefing is expected to be held on Monday, June 9, ahead of hte official start of E3 (June 10-12).
