E3 2016: Latest FIFA 17 screenshots reveal new ‘Journey’ detail

Brand new screenshots for FIFA 17 have been posted on the official EA Sports website, revealing a potential scenario that gamers will face at the beginning of their Journey.

For those that haven't heard of FIFA's new game mode, Journey, it is basically a story mode that follows the career of a young English player called Alex Hunter.

However, the Journey mode trailer that was presented at the EA Play event suggested that there would be no choice as to what the player looked like. But, it would seem there is!

Gamers will seemingly be able to choose between the two characters in the photo above, either the guy featured in the trailer (left) or the mystery man standing by his side (right).

As we understand it, both players – regardless of appearance – will be named Alex Hunter throughout the story, but that is still yet to be confirmed.

EA Sports have centred their promotional material for FIFA 17 around the arrival of a new engine too, called Frostbite. The casual gamer might well be wondering 'well, what does this mean?" But don't worry if you are one of those people, it seems EA Sports have got you covered.

The developer posted the following on their website today: "Frostbite injects even more detail into the worlds of FIFA 17. Experience all new environments like tunnels, locker rooms, the manager's office, and the team plane."

Here are the two other screenshots that have surfaced:

FIFA 17 will be released on September 27th in North America, but will hit shelves on September 29th for the rest of the world.
