E3 2016: Quake Champions revealed

The 90’s trifecta is complete. First Wolfenstein: The New Order in 2014, then DOOM this year. If you know how to put two and two together, it wasn’t hard to see where Bethesda was going with this. However, it’s one thing to presume and another to hear the confirmation and Bethesda have done just that at their E3 2016 Press Conference.
Quake is indeed real and it was shown in an epic cinematic trailer, as the developers took the stage. The game currently has no release date, but we can expect to hear more about the game in the future at QuakeCon.
A few weeks ago, an id Software job listing appeared on the Zenimax Media job portal, seemingly pointing to a Quake reboot being in the works. The listing was for a Senior Physics Programmer looking to “work as part of a development team on legendary id game properties like DOOM and QUAKE.”
Stay tuned folks, Quake is going to be a good one.
