E3 2017: Monster Hunter: World officially revealed at Sony’s E3 Presser

Monster Hunter is returning to the place it all began; to the PlayStation platform. Monster Hunter: World was revealed during Sony's E3 2017 press conference, and suffice it to say, the series has never looked better.

Here's the trailer:

This announcement isn’t entirely out of left field, around one year ago, Capcom made it clear that they were looking to expand Monster Hunter’s sales in territories outside of Japan. Capcom Chairman Kenzo Tsujimoto suggested that the Monster Hunter franchise could see releases on platforms outside of handhelds in the coming years, stating that the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One were all being considered.

Monster Hunter: World will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
