EA Play available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when Series X launches

Electronic Arts and Microsoft are bolstering up their deep partnership right from Day 1 of the start of next-gen. In a new announcement, the companies have confirmed that together with the launch of the Xbox Series on November 10th, EA Play will go live for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

It needs to be mentioned that only the basic tier of EA Play is going to be offered as a free service into Xbox Game Pass but that still includes plenty of awesome games at no additional cost. And it’s free of course! What’s not to like here?

Any user who subscribes to the Ultimate tier Xbox Game Pass game subscription will receive instant access to select titles of some of Electronic Arts’ biggest franchises, from Battlefield to Need for Speed and of course a myriad of sports games via EA Play.

We have been waiting for this moment for a long time and now it’s finally here. We are entering the next generation of gaming – and it looks and feels unlike any before it.

On its own EA Play costs $4.99, so the inclusion of it for absolutely free automatically means that Xbox Game Pass’ value is getting even better than it already is. There’s very little question that subbing to Xbox Game Pass, particularly Ultimate, is a no-brainer and a must-have for anyone who plans to play on the Xbox Series.

The list of features Microsoft is steadily adding to its subscription plan is already industry-leading. From the standard huge library of first-party games – with all First-Party games being available Day 1 – to Cloud Gaming via xCloud, and now the inclusion of EA Play, the competition is virtually light-years behind Microsoft when it comes to offering similar services.

PC gamers who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will have to wait an additional month when they receive the benefits of EA Play on their preferred place of gaming.
