EA’s Star Wars plans to be unveiled at E3

Battlefield 4's multiplayer gameplay won't be the only thing EA plans to show off at E3 this year. In addition to the assortment of next-generation games that will be showcased during the annual tradeshow, EA will offer a "first look" at the company's plans for the Star Wars partnership with Disney.

It was revealed earlier this month that EA and Disney had agreed upon a license for Electronic Arts to develop and publish new Star Wars games for a "core gaming audience." We don't know what exactly they have in store for future Star Wars games, but we're excited to see what EA's studios can do with the franchise; though, admittedly, some of us are a bit apprehensive.

It's unlikely that we'll see any official games at E3. More likely it will be concepts and an overall plan. EA will probably talk about the future of the franchise and what each studio will be tasked with. We at least know for certain that a new DICE studio has been opened in L.A. and will apparently focus on Star Wars games. Hopefully we hear more about that at E3.

The Download: EA 2013 Preview will  take place on Monday, June 10 at 1pm PT on Spike TV and EA's official website.
