EA wants to make your jaw drop with its Star Wars games

There's only one Star Wars game — that we know of — currently in development for Electronic Arts. That game is a new Star Wars Battlefront, easily one of the more anticipated titles the company could have announced. But beyond that, we really don't know what the developer/publisher plans to do with the license to make Star Wars games for a "core gaming audience."

“The most important thing for me is that we take the Star Wars license and come up with games where peoples’ jaws drop,” EA Games' Patrick Soderlund told Polygon. “We need to do with this what [Batman: Arkham Asylum] did for the Batman license.”

Soderlund acknowledged that the company does have "access to everything that was done during the LucasArts era," but added, "We do want to take our own stance."

Does this "own stance" mean rebooting an older title or starting from scratch with something brand new? Just give me Star Wars 1313
