Enter the Dominatrix DLC will return to Saints Row 4 as a director’s cut

Enter the Dominatrix, the standalone expansion originally announced for Saints Row: The Third (which never actually released), will instead be available as DLC for Saints Row 4.

Announced in May 2012, the expansion was to see alien warlord Zinyak invade earth, capture the leader of the Saints and imprison him in an elaborate virtual reality simulation. If you saw last week's reveal, you'll have realized that exact same premise serves as the plot for Saints Row 4with a few small twists. Many of the expansion's elements, like the introduction of super-powers and extra-terrestrials, are now core to Sants Row 4.

So what exactly is leftover from Enter the Dominatrix that can be used as DLC for Saints Row 4? Deep Silver Volition hasn't exactly said, but Volition's Jim Boone elaborated a little on the company's plans — in terms of how they plan on marketing the DLC.

"We still liked what we were doing with Enter the Dominatrix, and we're planning on doing a director's cut for that as a DLC pack," Boone told Eurogamer. "So that will still see the light of day in a fairly modified way. It'll probably be released as Saints Row 4: Enter the Dominatrix, just from a marketing perspective."

Saints Row 4 was officially revealed last week with a trailer, giving fans of the former THQ series a look at the wild gameplay and features.
