Epic Games hosting playable Fortnite event around Gamescom

Epic Games has announced that they will be bringingĀ a playable build of Fortnite to Europe for their "Gamescom Storm Chasers" event. Though it won't technically be at Gamescom, the event will be held near the massive gaming event in Cologne, Germany.

Epic says they'll be sending out invitations to the event starting today based on Alpha signups in the region. You can also go to the Fortnite blog and leave a comment for a chance to be selected.

The Gamescom Storm Chasers event will be held from August 15th through the 18th. Gamescom, meanwhile, takes place from August 13 through the 17th.

Earlier this week, Epic Games provided an update on the PC exclusive Fortnite, assuring fans that it's "alive and well."
