eShop SNES update brings Super Metroid and more to New 3DS via Virtual Console

During the March Nintendo Direct it was revealed that iconic Super Nintendo Entertainment System games would be exclusively available on the New Nintendo 3DS via the Virtual Console. The first batch of games that were made available through the system were Pilotwings, Super Mario World and F-Zero on March 3rd, followed by Super Mario Kart, EarthBound, and Donkey Kong Country on March 24.

Today, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country 2 are officially available on the Virtual Console at $8 per game.. Luckily, the games won't be altered to fit on the system, the New 3DS features a 'Perfect Pixel' mode that displays the SNES games in their original resolution.
