Evolution Studios running diagnostics to improve Driveclub’s server performance

Developer Evolution Studios has provided a new update on the status of Driveclub, informing fans that they are running "essential diagnostics" to help improve the performance of the servers. As a result, you may experience a disruption in online player over the next 24 hour period.

"We are sorry we don't have more news to share right now but we will keep working hard to get you all up and running online as quickly as we can," the developer added.

According to a post last night, Driveclub's servers are up and running; however, they are hitting their performance limits, so they won't accept new connections until one of the current online players disconnects, freeing up space. At that point, the game will automatically, and randomly, invite a new player to connect.

As for the free PlayStation Plus Edition of Driveclub, well, I wouldn't expect it to become available until all of these server issues are figured out.
