2K's co-op shooter Evolve has gone gold. The highly anticipated game from Turtle Rock Studios, which pits four hunters against a player-controlled monster, isn't set to release until February 10th, but the game is now out the door.
"Off to the manufacturers," 2K said. "After that, it gets shipped to retail stores in time for launch on February 10th."
To celebrate the news, 2K and Turtle Rock have given us a sneak peek at the game's cinematic intro. As one would expect, it contains some intense, adrenaline-pumping action that gives us just a taste of the hunt that awaits.
While we're still over a month away from release, an open beta for Evolve is planned to begin this month. Xbox One owners get first access starting on January 15th, followed by PC on January 16th. PS4 owners will have to wait a bit longer as the beta isn't expected to arrive until January 27th. It's important to note that each platform will have different modes available during the beta.
