Lionhead Studios' Ted Timmins made a blog post to the studio's website today announcing that Fable Anniversary needs more time to become the best game it can possibly be. Fable Anniversary, which is an HD remake of the original Fable, was supposed to be out this holiday season, but it is now delayed until February 2014.
The blog post says, "It's not easy making these decisions and I know that us asking you to wait a little longer whilst we get to play test the game every day is downright unfair, so over the next few weeks we're going to be sharing with you more screenshots, more game footage and perhaps even some… top secret announcements!"
I feel like this game would've done well over the holiday season, but delaying it might actually help it in sales. That'll leave the holiday season to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, give it time to die down a bit, and then hopefully February doesn't see a lot of big releases.
