Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon sales top 500,000 copies

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has sold over 500,000 copies, Ubisoft revealed. Not too shabby for a spin-off of Far Cry 3.

In an interview with Games Industry, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot noted he was "very happy" with the game's performance, which not only surpassed company expectations but boosted the sales of Far Cry 3, "especially on PC."

Ubisoft's other downloadable title, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger was also praised by Guillemot, though he did not reveal specific numbers for that game. He did say that both games' performances has given Ubisoft the "opportunity to further explore that formula of downloadable brand extensions in the future," according to GI.biz.

Both games earned considerable marks here on GameZone with Blood Dragon scoring a 9/10 and Gunslinger getting an 8.5/10.
