It appears Ubisoft has slipped up following its reveal of Far Cry 4, posting the game's story details on its Uplay page. The page was quickly taken down, but not before the eagle-eyed folks at Reddit caught wind of it. A Google cached version of the page can still be found, but below are the story details straight from the now-removed Far Cry 4 page. I'm assuming Ubisoft was hoping to keep this a secret until E3 next month.
Far Cry® 4 delivers an unparalleled next-gen experience in an entirely new and massive open world.
Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother's dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.
Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.
Interestingly, someone researched the name Ajay and found it to be a shortened form of the Sanskrit/Hindi name Ajaya. So maybe all of that speculation of us once again playing as the white, male protagonist saving a group of oppressed villagers was a bit premature.
