Fez preorders begin April 22 on GOG and Steam

Polytron's is opening up its award-winning puzzle-platformer Fez for preorders on Steam and GOG starting April 22. The game releases on May 1, as we learned last month.

Preordering gets you 10 percent off on both services — a reduced payment of $9.

In March, indie developer Phil Fish announced Fez would be launching on a number of platforms, including Mac, Linux, Ouya, and iOS. Fish is even hoping to secure a version for PlayStation Vita, but the 3DS is off the table because "the game is practically always shown in isometric 3D," anyway.

For a year, Fez has remained an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive title. It's sold over 200,000 copies on Microsoft's downloadable platform.
