Fieldrunners 2 storming the Vita this Summer

Fieldrunners 2, the addictive tower defense game from Subatomic Studios, is coming to the PlayStation Vita this summer, the developer announced today.

"Everyone at Subatomic Studios is thrilled about launching Fieldrunners 2 on PS Vita!" said Subatomic's Alec Shobin. "When we brought the original Fieldrunners to PSP back in 2009, we were completely overwhelmed by how much enthusiasm and support you all showed for our game.

"You folks are awesome, Sony rocks, and that’s why we’re bringing the biggest tower defense game ever to PS Vita this summer," he concluded.

With a goal of creating everything "bigger and better," Fieldrunners 2 features smarter enemy AI, 25 new towers with creative defensive weaponry, special precision based attacks. Fieldrunners 2 is currently in the "final stages" of development for the Vita. Specific Vita features and an exact release date will be confirmed at a later date, but if you want a good idea of what the game offers, you can download it on Android, iOS, or Steam.
