Final Fantasy 13 releasing on Steam, with sequels out by Spring 2015

It took nearly 5 years, but Final Fantasy XIII and its sequels will be making their way to the PC. Final Fantasy XIII in particular will be releasing on October 9th through Steam for a mere $15.99 ($14.39 if you pre-order), which is actually a fantastic price considering Square's usual pricing format for re-releases. Dragon Quest VIII on Mobile platforms is more expensive.

But Square isn't stopping with just XIII. From Square's press release, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns will all be available on Steam by Spring 2015. This marks the first time that a non-MMO Final Fantasy title will be available on the PC since Final Fantasy VIII.

You can check out the game's Steam page right here, and secure that early pre-order.
