Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud landing on Super Smash Bros.

Finishing up today's Nintendo Direct was a major announcement for Super Smash Bros. After years of rumors, Final Fantasy VII's Cloud has finally been confirmed for the game.

Show cased in a new game play demo, Cloud pulled off some pretty high impact maneuvers including his Final Smash move – The Omnislash. There was no exact release date announced but the trailer ended with another surprising reveal……CHOCOBOS!. That's right. Chocobos will be headed to Super Smash Bros in what appears to be an assist role.

We see Cloud say "It smells like Chocobo" followed by a number of tiny chocobos show up on screen ready for his command. I reached out to Nintendo to try and get more info on a release window and will let you know what we find out.
