It's been a big week for Final Fantasy XV at Gamescom 2017. Following the reveal of the long-desired PC version, Final Fantasy XV will be going mobile as well, but not quite in the way the game stands as is. Built from the ground up, and optimized for mobile, Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition will be an episodic retelling of Noctis' journey to reclaim his throne with an all-new touch-based battle system and adorable visuals.

Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition will be told across ten episodes, with the first of them being free-to-play. All ten will be available at launch, but you'll have to pay for episodes 2-10. Square Enix has given any details on a release date or price point, but they say that the game will be available "later this year."
The other big news this week regarding Final Fantasy XV is that the game will be coming to PC next year, an exciting revelation for PC players who may have felt left out in the cold. But given that PC players have been getting gradual access to every entry in the series over the past few years, it seemed only a matter of time before XV made its way over.
