Fire Emblem’s Marth confirmed for new Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo has revealed the 18th playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros.' roster will be Marth from Fire Emblem.

Marth serves as the main protagonist of the original game, Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi.

Marth first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee before returning in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. His inclusion in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U means the roster is now at 18. Nintendo was kind enough to share several images of Marth in action on the Wii U, which you can view in the gallery above.

**Note: As pointed out, the original description we had of Marth was incorrect. We've updated it with the correct character information. Thanks, Chris!
